Happy 4th of July!

Hello everyone! We hope you had a great 4th of July! We had a good time last night. We had a nice bar-b-que with Nana Bev, Aunt Sarah, Uncle Dan and Cousin Maddie. We were able to have it at a new apartment property that Toni's company is developing so since no one is living at the property yet, we had the entire place to ourselves! We had a nice cookout and Caitlin LOVED her time in the pool! She rode around in her inflatable toy for a while but for the most part she enjoyed kicking her feet and moving her arms trying to swim while Toni or I would hold her. Toward the end she started walking up to the edge of the pool and jumping for me to catch her. She had so much fun and it was cool to watch how excited she got. We'll have to look at getting her into swimming lessons and taking her out to the pool more often. The cookout was great and we all had a good time.

This weekend the weather cleared enough for me to start working on Caitlin's swing set. I've gotten the main structure up including 3 levels and 2 roofs. It's been a lot of work and I'm sore all over but I think Caitlin's gonna get a lot of use out of it. On Saturday night she came out to see the progress and got very excited and started saying "daddy, daddy, daddy". She came over and started hugging my leg and then enjoyed sitting on the lower level with me for a while. She was looking at the parts in the garage and got very excited when she saw the slide. Hopefully I can get it done soon. I'm currently on step 15 of 36 so hopefully some of these steps will start going fast...

The last picture is of Caitlin with her new favorite toy -Buzz Lightyear. She found it early so we gave it to her. She still has a Sheriff Woody and T-Rex from Toy Story 3 in the closet so hopefully she'll still be surprised for her birthday. We're going to have a party here at the house for her next Saturday which should be fun. :)

On the baby front, Toni had an appointment on Friday which went really well. The baby's heart rate was 162 and sounded great. We have our next appointment next Tuesday (the 13th) which happens to be Caitlin's birthday. At that appointment, we'll be finding out if it's a boy or a girl!
