Happy Valentine's Day!

Last week was Valentine's Day and I got my 3 girls flowers. Other than that, things have been pretty uneventful which can be both good and bad. I'm trying to start putting more time back into reselling. I would like to go back to Disneyworld in early June so we can also try out the waterparks. Disney offers specials every year around this time that offers a free counter service meal for each person for each night. That would definitely save us a lot of money. I don't think we'll go this June but I'd like to try to go in June 2019. Apparently June is no longer one of the busiest months of the year so they offer the free food as an enticement. We'll see how things go next year. Today was President's Day so since the girls were off school and daycare was closed, I took the day off and spent it with them. We had a good time. We went to breakfast and then to Toys R Us. After that we went to lunch with Toni.

My 46th birthday

This week was a fairly slow week. I took Wednesday and Thursday off to celebrate my birthday. Wednesday I went to the range with my Dad and did some shooting to prepare for the CHL (Concealed Handgun License). I hope to take the test soon. I did pretty well shooting, especially considering that I haven’t been shooting in over 20 years. I had a lot of fun and hope to go out more often. On Thursday Toni and I went to breakfast and then I went to get a haircut. After that we watched “Central Intelligence”. It was ok but nothing too amazing. That night we went out to dinner which was nice. This weekend we didn’t do too much. It’s been really cold in San Antonio so we’ve pretty much stayed inside. Emma has some more loose teeth. She needs to slow down on losing them or she won't be able to eat! :)

Disneyworld 2018!

Epcot 2002

Epcot 2018

We’ve been back from Disneyworld for a couple of weeks now and we had a great time. Right before the trip, Emma fractured her left elbow so she was in a cast the whole trip. It didn’t dampen her spirits though and she still had a great time. She got the cast off last Friday and everything looks good. She won’t be able to play in gym class for 2 weeks but she’s doing good so far. My favorite part of the trip was the Bippity Boppity Boutique where the girls were able to get a makeover. It was a lot of fun for them and I don’t think Caitlin stopped smiling the entire time.  If you’re interested in seeing their makeover, you can see it on youtube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wK1F7DAIrtQ&t=6s

I was actually surprised how busy it was a Disneyworld. Some of the wait times for certain rides were over 2 hours and the crowds were pretty bad some days. There were also some days that were incredibly cold! We actually had to buy some cold weather hats and scarves in the Norway and U.K. pavilions in Epcot! We had a good time at all of the parks but Epcot was probably my favorite. We had some great meals in Norway and Japan which were fun. We also had an awesome dinner at the Sci-fi Drive In CafĂ© at the Hollywood Studios park. They have it setup like a drive in theater with the tables as cars. It’s all indoors and they show trailers for old 50’s cheesy Sci-fi movies. We definitely all enjoyed that. We also ended up on the ResortTV1 youtube channel. They are a channel that goes and live streams from one of the parks every Friday night. We missed them on the Friday but on Saturday we were getting off of a ride and they were standing there filming! I’ve been watching them for at least 6 months so it was really cool to be on the live stream. We show up at about the 33:00 minute mark of the video if you’re interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AapUxh2mSac

On our last night, we had dinner at the Be Our Guest restaurant which is themed like Beauty and the Beast. We at in Beast’s room which was a little too dark and loud for us. Every 10 minutes or so it would flash like it was lightning outside but it was cool. Next time I’d request the main dining room though.

In Epcot, we tried to recreate a photo that we took in 2002 on our trip. You can see the Epcot ball in the background 2002 vs 2018. J

Coming back from vacation is never fun but this time I really didn’t want to come back. If I could find a job in Orlando, I would seriously consider it.. We’re also thinking about making this a trip we take every 2 years. We’ll see how that goes but it’s something I’m interested in doing.
