As you can see by the number of pictures, this week was fairly busy for us. The top picture is of Caitlin while she was at the mall getting sized for her first pair of Stride Rite shoes. She was enjoying riding in the cart that had a steering wheel in it quite a bit. The collage of pictures shows different events of the week. I had to create a collage because I can only submit 5 pictures to the website! The top row shows Caitlin in her new bicycle seat. We got a seat so that she can ride with me. In addition to the new seat, we got her a Disney helmet so she's safe. We took her out riding this morning and she seemed to enjoy it. In the second picture we went to the mall today and Caitlin is showing off her new sunglasses. The middle row of pics is of Caitlin getting her feet sized for new shoes at Stride Rite. She's a size 4 1/2! :) In the 2nd pic, she's playing with her friend Brooke in the store. The 3rd picture of the middle row is how Caitlin woke up on Saturday morning - with pink eye! :( A call to the Doctor and a prescription cleared everything up pretty quick and today there's no signs of the pink eye at all. The bottom 2 pics are of Caitlin at her Aunt Sarah's 34th birthday party. Now that I've summed up the pics, let me talk about the week. Last Sunday night we discovered we had a major ant infestation throughout every room in our house. We were up pretty late cleaning ants out of Caitlin's room and changing her sheets. Luckily, a call to the exterminator has cleared everything up. We had ants everywhere! Downstairs, upstairs, kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and closets, you name it, they were there.
This week Caitlin also started going to the 1 year old's room at daycare for a couple of hours each day. She seemed to enjoy herself and got to enjoy the wagon rides and the new environment. This will probably be the last week that she goes to the infant room. I think the change will be good for her and will help her learn. She likes to watch other kids a lot and then tries to do what they do so this should help her with her walking. Speaking of which, this weekend she actually walked several feet while holding onto the coffee table! She has also continued to let go of things and balance on her own for a few seconds at a time. I think she'll be walking any day now.
Yesterday we celebrated my sister Sarah's birthday. We had a nice time with good food with family. Everything was going great until the very end when the sun disappeared and the rains started. Other than that though, everyone had a good time.
This week should be pretty fast with the short work week. I wish every weekend was a 3 day weekend! Hope everyone has a great week!
