This week we took a much needed to Fredericksburg, Austin and Buda. Overall the trip was nice. We started out at a Bed and Breakfast in Fredericksburg that unfortunately wasn't our favorite part of the trip. The place we stayed was and old house above a bakery. It was very old and drafty and didn't even have a shower. It only had a bathtub which was challenging. The biggest problem was that there was a vent fan on the roof that was squeaking all night and didn't allow us to get a lot of sleep. After 2 days we had enough and left early and headed to Austin. Our favorite part of Fredericksburg was the Nimitz Museum. While in Austin we went to some thrift stores and went to have Barbecue with family. We had fun and enjoyed Austin more than Fredericksburg. We also went to Ikea in Austin which was really cool. We've never gotten to the one in San Antonio because it's on the other side of town but I think we'll be going more often. The place was gigantic and we got some nice things for the house. We also found a sofa that we'd like to get and some other things for the house. After Ikea, we went to Buda Texas to stay at a Harry Potter themed tiny house. It is located behind a drive in movie theater called Doc's. We had a great time watching Grease at the drive in. We're definitely going to go back there again and hopefully will go to the drive in outside of San Antonio. Of all the parts of our trip, Buda was my favorite. We got to spend some good family time and enjoyed hanging out having dinner and watching a movie. The tiny house was really nice and surprisingly was fairly comfortable given the size. They have 2 other tiny houses themed after Breakfast at Tiffany's and Star Wars. I'd like to stay at the Breakfast at Tiffany's house next time since it has more space. We came home on Saturday and on the way home we stopped at some garage sales. It was nice to hang out together. I tried going to a community garage sale in Buda but unfortunately the weather just didn't cooperate. Overall we had a good trip. Unfortunately, I left my jacket in the closet at the hotel in Austin and after calling them, they weren't able to find it. Other than that, it was a nice getaway and I'm hoping to have more family time soon.
