Cheeeeese!

This week Caitlin continued adding to her vocabulary. We were at Target and we were trying to take a picture of her relaxing in the cart and when we said, "say cheese", Caitlin said "Cheese". She's repeated the word several more times since whenever we ask her to. Tonight we went to the mall to get her some new shoes. It was funny watching her try them out. She would take Toni by the hand and start walking around and kept looking at her feet. When we asked her if she liked the shoes, she said "yeah". :) She's now wearing a size 7 wide! More importantly though, this week she started putting her shoes on by herself! She's done it several time so far and it is so cool to watch how excited she gets. She has also started trying to put on her jacket and take it off as well.

Caitlin continues to like picking out movies to watch. It's always a cartoon (usually Shrek or Fraggle Rock) but this week she started mixing it up and started bringing us Christmas shows to watch! I think we've watched more Christmas shows in February than we did in December! She's had us watching, Dora's Christmas Carol, Mickey's Christmas Carol, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas! In addition to movies, Caitlin has also started liking music. Some days on the drive home she'll start bobbing her head to the music that's on and will even start dancing if we start playing music on our iPhones for her. Her favorite song is "Naturally" by Selena Gomez. :)

This weekend we also finally got around to putting up letters spelling Caitlin above her crib. I think it turned out really nice and fills in the wall nicely. :) This week should go pretty fast. Toni and Caitlin are flying to Brownsville on Thursday and will be coming back on Sunday. Flying is so much easier on everyone than the 5+ hour drive and it'll let Toni have more time with her family so that will be nice. I know Grampa Andres is looking forward to seeing them both. :) I hope everyone has a great week!
