Hello again!

Today marked our second sonogram and the news was very good. To start, Caitlin looks great and the Doctor said everything looks like it's moving along nicely. Caitlin's weight has gone from 1/2 pound last month to around 1.5 today. Judging by the readings and measurements that they took, they estimate Caitlin's due date to be July 20th rather than the original July 26th.

She was extremely active during the sonogram and we got to see a lot of movement. Be it playing with the umbilical cord, yawning, kicking, punching, or even holding her face with both hands (like in the movie 'Home Alone') Caitlin definitely wasn't camera shy. In fact, she was so full of energy that between Doctors, we put a hair clip on Toni's stomach and could actually see Caitlin moving it. I was able to feel her kicking quite a bit and I think it's safe to say that once she's born, we're definitely going to have our hands full. :-)

While we didn't get a lot of pictures this week, we did get about 20 minutes of video which I'm in the process of converting to DVD. If you'd like a copy, let us know and we'll make one for you.

The next couple of months are going to be extremely busy for us. We're going to start getting Caitlin's room together soon and in June, we have a mandatory 9 HOUR training course we have to go to at Northcentral Baptist hospital to prepare for the birth. They're going to cover everything from natural child birth, C-sections, admitance and paperwork, physical and emotional changes, job of the father, and give us the tour of the hospital. So far our schedule looks like this:
4/5 - Class on car seats at Northcentral Baptist
4/11 - Routine visit with OB
4/24 - Sonogram #3
5/23 - Brownsville trip
6/7 - 9 hour hospital training

I'm sure there will be plenty more coming as well. As always, we'll keep you posted. :-)
This week marks week 23 (although they now think we're 23 weeks and 4 days). Check out what's happening - http://www.babiesonline.com/pregnancy/week-by-week/week23.asp
