And the Oscar for, "The worst movie for a pregnant woman to watch" goes to.....

Knocked Up. As we started our weekend and tried to stay out of the cold, we decided to watch the movie, Knocked Up. Big mistake...... Not only was it one of the slowest moving, longest, and most boring movies we've ever seen, it proved to be a horrible movie for a pregnant woman (namely Toni) to watch. After sitting through nearly 2 hours of mind numbing, over the top crude humor, the movie decided to take a rather startling turn during the actual birth scene...

Now I'm no Roger Ebert but anytime a director chooses to place a scene in a movie showing an extremely graphic "look, the baby's head is crowning" shot, it's in bad taste. Needless to say, the already awful movie instantly got worse. The shot of a woman screaming in agony and seeing a baby's head mere seconds from exiting sent Toni into a panic attack. Not a film I'd recommend to anyone who is pregnant and/or planning on ever getting pregnant...

Besides the movie incident, things have been going as well as can be expected. Toni's been fighting mild to moderate morning sickness. I'm not sure why they call it morning sickness when it pretty much lasts the entire day. Due to the loss of appetite, Toni's lost about 5 pounds in the last 2 weeks. We've loaded up on Saltines so hopefully that will help her at least get something in her stomach.

This coming week she has another Doctor's appointment. They should be talking about her diabetes and going over her blood sugar levels. I'll post more after that appointment.
